Terms & Conditions

Welcome to your scuba course, and thank you for selecting Gaspar's Dive Shop! We encourage you to review our terms and conditions, as enrolling in an activity indicates your acceptance of them. Should you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact us. This learning agreement details the mutual responsibilities between you, Gaspar's Dive Shop, and the instructional staff for this course.

Booking and Payment

  • All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation.

  • A deposit or full payment is required at the time of booking to secure a booking, depending on the specific service.

  • Payments can be made via credit card, cash, or other methods as specified on our website.

  • Prices are subject to change without notice but will not affect confirmed bookings.

Cancellations and Refunds

Please understand we limit our class enrollment to enhance the learning experience for our students. Therefore, our classes often fill up quickly. When you reserve your spot, it becomes unavailable to others. When you reserve your spot, it becomes unavailable to others. If you must cancel your class, we respectfully request a 14-day notice from your original booking date to receive 100% refund of your tuition fee allowing us to offer your spot to another student. Requests made for cancellations 7 days or less will receive a 50% refund. Cancellations or rescheduling are not allowed within 48 hours of the course start time.

We offer Peek Protect as an exclusive product that offers booking protection when you book online with us.  ‍If you decide to cancel your booking at your own initiative at least 24 hours before the start of your first booking and you have purchased Peek Protect, Spot will refund 100% of the protected amount listed in your confirmation email. Additional services or fees will not be refunded.

Please note, there are no refunds for eLearning or other digital products regardless of activation. We do not offer refunds for no-shows, voluntary withdrawals, or failure to complete proper medical forms/ documents as instructed at the time of enrollment. ​

Rescheduling Before the Start of The Course

  • Requests to reschedule should be submitted at least 14 days prior to the scheduled date. A rescheduling fee of 50% of the tuition will be charged for requests made less than 7 days in advance. Cancellations or rescheduling are not allowed within 48 hours of the course start time.

Absences and Make Up Fees

A schedule is agreed upon between student and Gaspar's Dive Shop before classes begin. Gaspar's Dive Shop and its instructors are obligated to meeting said schedule. However, if a student is absent from a class session, pool dive or open water dive for whatever reason, Gaspar's Dive Shop cannot and will not be responsible for any makeup fees that may be incurred. Diving classes are sequential. You can’t go to the open water dive without first completing all of the pool sessions. Nor can Gaspar's Dive Shop or its Instructors guarantee rescheduling. Some courses are seasonal while others run once a year.

Classroom Make Up Fee: If a student needs to reschedule a classroom session, a fee of $50 will apply.

Pool Session Make Up Fee: If a student needs to make up their pool session(s), a fee of $150 will be applied for each rescheduled PRIVATE session. However, if the student can attend a previously scheduled pool activity, a reduced fee of $75 per session will be charged.

Open Water Dives Make Up Fee: If a student needs to make up their pool session(s), a fee of $275 will be applied for each rescheduled PRIVATE session. However, if the student can attend a previously scheduled open water activity, a reduced fee of $150 per session will be charged.

Inclement Weather

Occasionally inclement weather or not having the minimum required people to run a course will occur that requires rescheduling the class. The student will not be charged a rescheduling fee if this occurs.  There will be no refunds for reasons due to weather.  

Student Discounts

Students are encouraged to come in to get a complimentary private fitting session to make sure all the gear fits safely and comfortably. Each student can take advantage of our student discount on purchases before and during the course. Student discounts do not apply towards price protected items such as Shearwater, Garmin, cameras, select electronics, tanks and weights. Student discounts only apply to items 

Equipment Losses

Gaspar's Dive Shop, its staff, assistants, instructors and affiliate instructors are not liable for any diving equipment rented or personally owned that has become damaged, lost or stolen while participating in any courses offered by Gaspar's Dive Shop, its staff, assistants, Instructors and affiliate instructors.

Transportation

Students are responsible for their own transportation, which includes not only getting themselves to sessions but also carrying their gear, rental equipment, and tanks. Given the nature of the course, activities will take place at various locations for the classroom sessions, pool sessions, and multiple days of open water dives. Please ensure you have suitable transportation and enough cargo space to attend all session locations. Drug and Alcohol Policy

Our policy on drugs and alcohol is simple – ZERO TOLERANCE. Student agrees to not consume any alcohol or illicit drugs before or during the course or be involved in any activity that increases risks with diving. No refunds will be given if a student
