Our Story

From the Beginning

Gaspar’s Dive Shop, established in 2007 and named after the legendary Spanish pirate José Gaspar (Gasparilla), is the area’s largest full-service dive center with easy access to Gulf of Mexico waters. Offering top-quality NAUI and SSI scuba classes at competitive prices, the shop is a hub for diving enthusiasts. Joe and Stephanie, former customers turned owners in 2010, share a passion for diving—Joe loves reef diving and spearfishing, while Stephanie enjoys underwater photography and fossil hunting.

In addition to local dives, the couple organizes trips to destinations like Florida’s east coast, the Keys, Cozumel, and Roatan. Gaspar’s also sells snorkel gear, skimboards, and a variety of diving brands, with a friendly staff dedicated to meeting customer needs.
