Technical (Tech) diving is scuba diving that extends beyond the recreational limits established by the various scuba training agencies – SSI, NAUI, etc.  Whether it’s a combination of depth and time or entering an overhead environment, these dives usually prevent a diver from directly ascending to the surface, requiring additional planning, skills, equipment, gas types or a combination of these.
