About The Event
About
We're headed to the Blue Heron Bridge in Riviera Beach, FL. This site is well known as one of the best sites to snorkel or scuba dive. Its famously clear water is full of exotic sea creatures and even statues.
The jumping-off point is Phil Foster Park, located under Blue Heron Bridge. Divers can walk in from the shoreline and start exploring. Snorkelers can take off from the swimming area to do the Snorkel Trail. The depth around Blue Heron Bridge goes from 4 feet at the entry point out to 20 feet near the boat wrecks. The Snorkel Trail ranges from 10 to 15 feet. Phil Foster is also a terrific spot to do watersports in The Palm Beaches or relax on the small beach.
The Dive
The depth around Blue Heron Bridge goes from 4 feet at the entry point out to 20 feet near the boat wrecks. The Snorkel Trail ranges from 10 to 15 feet. We will be doing a 1 tank shore dive with a variable dive duration according to your air consumption. Water temp ranges from 71°F to 78°F
When
High tide is at 8:42 am. The best time to dive the bridge is between an hour before and after high tide.
Requirements
Anyone in the water diving or snorkeling, must have a dive flag (Divers-down warning device) to mark their location. There are lifeguards on duty and they are watching the swim-only areas, but can be available if needed.
Equipment
All divers and snorkelers are responsible for their own equipment. Tanks and scuba gear can be rented from us ahead of time. Reservations are strongly recommended.
Fees
Parking and admission is free of charge. This is not a course or a guided dive.
Transportation
There will not be any group transportation available to this site. We encourage dive buddies to carpool if possible.
